“We felt that it was really healing and therapeutic for them to be able to have the ability to produce something out of nothing,” Melissa says. “Candles are a great example – it’s just a bag of wax and some vessels, and then they get to create something beautiful that people want to have in their home, that makes a warm environment.” The same goes for jewelry: “You’re essentially taking a lump of clay, and turning it into something that makes women feel beautiful – and it also simultaneously empowers the woman who’s making it.” Read the full article here.
